Location: Sacramento | The California Auto Museum in Sacramento has opened a new exhibit as of Jan 2 and it will run through March 12. It features over 60 motorcycles from the early 1900s to present, and includes several noteworthy models, customs, racers, artifacts, etc. I have written a detailed description in the CCMC Forum (www.capitalcitymc.com), and total details can be seen at www.calautomuseum.org to include map and contact info. This is a first for the Auto Museum, and an exhibit you don't want to miss. A special event day is Jan 9, with others to follow. Included with the motorcycle exhibit admission is access to the over 150 automobiles on exhibit from antiques, classics and specialties as well as newer collectibles. Be sure to see my own 1953 MG TD, with under 1400 miles on a frame-off restoration (you can tell I'm proud of it).
The Museum is located at 2200 Front St, just a few blocks south of Old Town Sac and a few blocks west of the CCMC Clubhouse. Access from the I-5 is super simple. General admission is $8, but there are many ways to get in at reduced rates. Being 65 and over, like me, gets you in for $6. Groups of 10 or more can request special rates. And 2 for one handouts are available at many bike shops, etc.
Come one, come all. Contact the Museum or email me at spyderyder673@gmail.com for more info. I'm a Docent at the Museum and I can usually tell you what and when any particular bike is on display (e.g. the Bub world's fastest bike). Dress warmly as the Museum is not heated.
